Philadelphia, PA (SportsNetwork.com) - Tobias Harris and the Orlando Magic have their first win. The Philadelphia 76ers are still waiting. Harris long jumper at the buzzer gave the Magic a 91-89 win over the Sixers on Wednesday night in a game between two 0-4 teams. The Magic avoided what would have been their first 0-5 start since 1990-91, their second season as an NBA team. The Sixers are 0-5 for the first time since the 2001-02 season, when they lost their first five games as the defending Eastern Conference champions. Making matters worse, center Nerlens Noel left the game with a sprained ankle in the third quarter and did not return. Harris made his winner from just inside the 3-point line on the right wing, shooting it over Sixers forward Luc Mbah a Moute, then running down the court toward the Orlando bench in celebration. It was good to make that shot and I think it was great to get a victory tonight, Harris said. It came after Henry Sims tied the score for Philadelphia at the other end on a straightaway jumper with 4.6 remaining, his only bucket of the game. Harris ended with 18 points for the Magic, who were coming off a 98-90 loss in Chicago on Tuesday night. They are 24-5 in the last 29 meetings with the Sixers and 14-4 in their last 18 games in Philadelphia. Nikola Vucevic added 17 points in the win, Channing Frye scored 13 with 11 rebounds and Ben Gordon had 15 points off the bench. Tony Wroten continued his hot start with 27 points to lead the Sixers, who finally played a close game after losing their first four by an average of 13.25 points. Brandon Davies added 20 points and K.J. McDaniels had 12 off the bench. Noel, who missed all of last season with a knee injury he suffered as a freshman at Kentucky, rolled his ankle under the basket and limped off under his own power. The team announced soon after that the ankle was sprained. As far as how long it will keep him out, Im not sure, Sixers coach Brett Brown said. The Sixers had 10 turnovers in the first three quarters, then 10 more in the fourth. The Magic turned the ball over 21 times in the first three quarters but only three times in the fourth. The game was tied 52-52 at halftime and 75-75 after three quarters. Noel had four points, two rebounds and three assists before leaving, including a behind-the-back bounce pass to Alexey Shved for a layup that finished off a 3-on-1 in the second quarter. McDaniels also made the highlight reels for Philadelphia in the second quarter when he threw down an alley-oop off Wrotens pass despite being fouled by Moe Harkless. A 3-pointer by Frye sparked a 9-0 run by Orlando, but the Sixers tied the score behind 15 first-half points from Wroten, who scored 11 of them in the first quarter -- including nine Sixers points in a row during one stretch. Philadelphia had the biggest lead of any team until that point when Mbah a Moutes dunk made it 64-57 midway through the third quarter. The Sixers led by eight after that, but another 3-pointer by Frye led to a 12-2 Orlando run. Game Notes Wroten had eight assists and five steals. TORONTO -- Drew Hutchison has given the Toronto rotation a nice boost this year in his first season back since undergoing Tommy John surgery. He has had troubles at Rogers Centre though and one rough inning proved costly on Wednesday night against New York. Mark Teixeira hit a two-run homer in the Yankees four-run third inning as New York (40-37) salvaged the finale of a three-game series with a 5-3 victory. The Yankees ended a four-game losing skid and moved 2 1/2 games behind first-place Toronto (44-36) in the American League East. "I felt I got stronger as the game went on," Hutchison said. "It was disappointing to have that big inning, especially to allow three runs with two outs and not be able to make that big pitch. "It turned out to be the difference in the game." Former Blue Jay Kelly Johnson reached on a walk to open the frame and scored on a Francisco Cervelli double. Hutchison (5-6) got the next two outs before giving up a single to Jacoby Ellsbury that brought Cervelli across with the go-ahead run. Teixeira padded the lead by turning on an 0-1 pitch for his 14th homer of the year. "Hutchison pitched really well, he only made a couple of mistakes that one inning and we made him pay," Teixeira said. "Other than that, he was throwing some dirty pitches. It was good to get the four runs when we got them." Hutchison, a 23-year-old right-hander, has a 4-2 record and 2.23 earned-run average on the road. But he entered play with a 1-3 record and 8.72 ERA at home. "Thats the farthest thing away from my mind," Hutchison said of the uneven splits. "Im disappointed that I was not able to deliver a better performance for us and not give us a better chance to win." New York starter Hiroki Kuroda (5-5) was effective over 6 1/3 innings and David Robertson got the last five outs for his 18th save. Ellsbury had three of New Yorks nine hits. Jose Reyes, who had three hits for Toronto, took the first pitch from Kuroda over the wall for his sixth homer of the season. It was his third leadoff home run of the year and 21st of his career. Reyes scored again in the fifth inning after he moved Munenori Kawasaki to third base with a ground-rule double. Melky Cabrera brought them both home with a sharp single to left field. Hutchison struck out the side in the sixth inning and was replaced in the seventh by left-hander Rob Rasmussen. Hutchison alloowed seven hits, four earned runs and two walks while striking out six.dddddddddddd "Overall I think hes been pretty good (this season) -- actually very good," Gibbons said. "Hes still a young kid. Hes going to go through his growing pains." Rasmussen faced three batters and did not record an out. He walked Brett Gardner, hit Jeter with a pitch, threw a wild pitch to the backstop and walked Ellsbury to load the bases. Sergio Santos came on in relief and gave up a sacrifice fly to Teixeira that brought Gardner home with an insurance run. The Blue Jays had the potential tying run at second base in the eighth inning but Adam Lind hit a weak comebacker that ended the inning. Kuroda allowed eight hits, three earned runs and two walks.
