P.A. Parenteau has no complaints about being a member of the Montreal Canadiens. Speaking at the RBC Canadian Open Pro-Am in Montreal on Monday - his first media availability since being traded to the Habs - Parenteau said hes overjoyed to be playing in his home province of Quebec for the team he grew up cheering for. "Im not going to lie, it was kind of a dream come true," Parenteau said. "You never know when its going to happen, or if ever its going to happen and it did for me. Im really excited and couldnt have asked for a better scenario." The Canadiens acquired the 31-year-old winger last month in a trade that sent Daniel Briere to the Colorado Avalanche. Parenteau is coming off a season of struggles with the Avalanche, scoring 14 goals and 33 points in 55 games. However, he feels a change of scenery could be exactly what he needs to get back on track. "I didnt have the season I wanted last year, obviously," the native of Hull, QC said. "This is a great opportunity for me, Im excited." Parenteau said he hasnt yet learned where hell play in the Canadiens lineup, but hes not concerned about finding his spot on the team. "Obviously, Im a top-six forward," Parenteau said. "This is where I want to play and Im sure Im going to have a chance to play here but I have to be ready and will do so." After being eliminated in the first round of the Stanley Cup playoffs last season, Parenteau is happy to be playing on a team that made a deeper playoff run last year - and is ready to do the same this season. "There was a good team in Colorado but theres an even better team in Montreal and Im excited for the challenge," he said. Scarpe Scontate Online . Replay backed him up. In addition to the current overall hot streak, the Blues also have won three in a row on home ice to push their record at Scottrade to 11-3-1. L.A. hopes to knock the Blues down a peg tonight by continuing its dominance in this series. The Kings have won two straight, seven of eight and nine of the last 11 meetings overall. St. Louis has lost three of the last four encounters in the Gateway City. The clubs will complete their regular-season series with a home-and-home set this week with the Blues visiting Los Angeles on Thursday when the Kings begin a four-game stay at the Staples Center. L.A. is now 1-3 in shootouts and 2-5 in games that have gone past regulation. These overtime and shootout games, we just have to pull through somehow, said Gaborik. We havent been successful in these this year, but we battled back and we got that point. We just need to get some more points on the road. The Blues earned an OT victory their last time out, as T.J. Oshie scored 63 seconds into the extra session to lift St. Louis to a 3-2 victory at Colorado. Oshies game-winning goal came on the 42nd shot of the game for the Blues, who only allowed 25 shots against. Oshie took Barret Jackmans from the left boards and used a Colorado defenseman as a screen before scoring on a wrister from the slot. This is something Ive worked on in practice, catching it and releasing it quick, Oshie said. It was perfect timing and Jack made a great feed to me. Alex Pietrangelo and Kevin Shattenkirk also lit the lamp for the Blues. Jake Allen made 23 saves for the win. Martin Brodeur could get his third start of the season for St. Louis tonight.
